Grey is THE colour for interior decoration in 2010.
Part of a jazzy or loft trend, it is a reflection of urban habitats, ultra-contemporary, minimalist... New York.
Grey creates a timeless and calm atmosphere, and is the major aspect of contemporary decoration. Do not try to blend it with overly-colourful walls. It goes better with the discretion of pastels, or whites. All furniture goes well with it, especially "roots" style, renovated old factory furnishings and glass and stainless steel furniture.
Whatever the style, the different hues of grey play with the materials.
From the most streamlined to the most traditional decor, it is hard to make mistakes with grey...It softens the room, emphasises the architecture and the decor. It simply enhances everything while remaining discreet. It is soft and calming, and blends into a "soft" decor.
